Holiday Gift Guide

This holiday season certainly looks and feels different for many of us. After all, 2020 has lifted the veil on what’s really important in our lives. While I make a large portion of my annual revenue during the holiday season, I know gifts aren’t the most important way to show love and spending money isn’t completely necessary (or accessible, more thoughts on this here). Relationships, family (chosen or blood related), and our health is a precious gift in itself and this year may have rocked this into a different (and clearer) realization.

As an independent business owner, there is something special, almost magical, to see the orders come through and know that others in this big wide world are gifting your goods to their loved ones and putting their trust in your process. I understand not everyone has the means, time, and resources for gifting, but if you are a person that has those privileges, please consider supporting independent artisans, local makers, and especially Black, queer, disabled, and Indigenous owned businesses this year. A solid holiday season can set us up for success in the new year and keep us showing up for our customers for years to come.

Not sure where to start with the whole shop small/mindful thing this year? Below are some of my favorites from around the US.
